SIPCO, LLC Wins Major Markman Ruling
Atlanta, GA, - May 9, 2011
SIPCO, LLC, the world's leading innovator in the wireless mesh
networking industry, is pleased to announce that it has won a major Markman ruling in the SIPCO, LLC v. Datamatic, Ltd., et al. (No. 6:09-cv-00532) case pending in the Eastern District of Texas.
The suit originally included defendants Datamatic, Ltd.,
EKA Systems, Inc., Johnson Controls, Inc., Sensus USA Inc., and
Trilliant Networks Inc. and involves SIPCO's U.S. Patent Nos.
7,103,511; 6,492,692; and 7,468,661. Datamatic is the only
defendant remaining in the case.
The Court adopted constructions consistent with those
proffered by SIPCO and rejected Datamatic's argument that the
patents were invalid as indefinite.

infringement suit against ADT Security Services, Inc. ("ADT") for
infringing its patented technology in the security industry.
Four of SIPCO's valuable mesh technology patents -- U.S.
Patent Nos. 7,103,511; 6,492,692; 7,697,492; and 6,914,893 -- are at
issue in the case, which was filed in the United States District
Court for the Southern District of Florida. As a result of
ADT's on-going infringement, SIPCO seeks both injunctive relief and
monetary damages.
SIPCO, LLC was formed by renowned inventor and entrepreneur T.
David Petite. Mr. Petite has been an active leader in the wireless
industry for over a decade and has over 30 issued U.S. patents to his
name dating from the early 1990s.
